El 16 de septiembre de 2014 una cadena de dos minutos y medio interrumpió el programa de entrevistas de Radio Centro para descalificar a su entrevistadora Carmen Andrade, tras haber hecho un comentario a propósito de una entrevista que realizó al dirigente político del partido Avanza, Ramiro González. La voz en off de la cadena aseguró que “Andrade acusó al gobierno, y en especial al partido de gobierno Alianza PAIS, de controlar el pensamiento de los ecuatorianos y de castigar incluso con la cárcel a quienes piensen diferente a la línea oficialista”.
Tras esta afirmación, el espacio gubernamental , en tono irónico, se preguntó lo siguiente: “¿Es esto periodismo? ¿Aseverar algo sin tener pruebas? ¿Habrá algún caso de estos? seguramente la periodista de radio Centro nos podrá ilustrar porque si lo asevera con tanta certeza significa que conoce de la existencia de muchos casos, casos que han representado acusaciones penales de terrorismo por el simple hecho de pensar diferente, por el hecho de mantener un criterio diferente al del partido de gobierno”.
En esa línea, la cadena se siguió cuestionando cómo se podía aseverar algo tan grave y concluyó con la siguiente interrogante “¿Podrán ilustrar a la audiencia por semejante aseveración? ¿Estará el periodismo de esta radio revestida de ética y profesionalismo?”.
Mandatory broadcast disqualifies interviewer for her opinion
On September 16th, 2014 a mandatory broadcasting program of two and a half minutes interrupted the radio show on Radio Centro to disqualify the interviewer Carmen Andrade, for having made comment about an interview she made to the political party leader Avanza, Ramiro González.
The off voice of the government broadcast program said the following: «Andrade accused the government, particularly the ruling party Alianza PAIS, to control the Ecuadorian thought and even punish with imprisonment to those who think differently to the official line.»
After this statement, the government space, ironically, asked the following: «Is this journalism? ¿To assert something without proof? Is there a case for these? surely Centro radio journalist may illustrate that if we asserted with such certainty means that she knows the existence of many cases, cases that have represented criminal charges of terrorism by simply thinking differently from the ruling party. «
In this line, the program continued questioning how could someone assert something as serious and concluded with the following question «Can they illustrate the audience for such a claim? Has this radio journalism covered with ethics and professionalism?. «
