El 06 de septiembre de 2012, la presentadora del noticiero de GamaTV, Valeria Mena, denunció -durante la emisión del informativo- que el camarógrafo César Paredes fue agredido por un familiar de una persona acusada de atentar al pudor de una menor .
Según este medio, que está en manos del Estado, el hecho ocurrió durante la audiencia del acusado, en la que el agresor «insultó e intentó lanzar piedras al equipo de Gama Noticias», tras lo cual la policía detuvo a dos personas.
Fundamedios intentó recabar la versión del camarógrafo agredido. Sin embargo, este prefirió no dar declaraciones ni detalles al respecto para, según dijo, precautelar su seguridad, pese a que el hecho ya fue denunciado por el medio.
Camera operator of TV station seized by the state is attacked
On 6 September 2012, Valeria Mena, presenter of Gama TV’s news program, denounced – during the program – that camera operator César Paredes had been attacked by a relative of a person accused of indecent assault against a minor.
According to the station, which is controlled by the State, the event took place during a hearing involving the accused, when his relative «insulted and attempted to throw stones at Gama TV’s team». The Police detained two persons.
